Aluminium 5356 TIG Rods 2.4mm 2kg pack

BOC 5356 TIG rod is a nominal 5% magnesium alloy suitable for TIG welding of a wide range of cast and wrought aluminium alloys. It produces intermediate deposit strength, good ductility and corrosion resistance for the welding of a wide range of 3XXX, 5XXX, 6XXX aluminium alloys. All rods are embossed for ease of identification. Widely used for marine applications such as boats, catamarans, ferries and luxury yachts. Also for welding boarding and loading ramps, scaffolding, ladders and handrails. Also used for the construction of ships, storage tanks, railways and for applications in the automotive industry.

Argon is recommended for all TIG welding applications, however, the use of Alushield He10, Alushield Light and Alushield Universal will provide better penetration, greater heat input and faster welding speeds especially on thicker material.
